In episode 119 of the Your Kid’s Next Read podcast, we got to spend about 15 minutes with internationally acclaimed author Katherine Rundell, who shared insights into the research and writing process for her remarkable new novel ‘Impossible Creatures’.

Katherine’s novels are great favourites within the Your Kid’s Next Read Facebook community, with Rooftoppers, The Wolf Wilder and The Explorer often recommended. Her writing is incredibly beautiful and her stories full of magic and adventure.

Katherine has always been a voracious reader and credits this as the foundation of her writing career. Wth this in mind, I also asked her for her top tip for young writers.
