With CBCA Book Week looming, we thought this was the perfect time to share this exclusive checklist to help educators organise and manage author/illustrator visits to their schools.

Created by Megan Daley, it’s an overview of everything you might need to think about, from the moment of booking all the way through to after the visit.

If you haven’t organised an author/illustrator visit for this year’s Book Week celebrations, you might still be able to snag a creator who’s had a cancellation, but if there’s a particular person you’d love to meet, start planning for next year.

And remember, author/illustrators are not just for Book Week – you can organise one any time of the year (and might have more luck booking popular authors outside peak time).
